SOAK UP THE SUNSHINE.

The lovely Courtney who was behind the lens for this shoot, check out her blog here

The other day my friend and I took advantage of the sun and went out exploring, snapping a few photos as we went. I think they’re the first outside photos this blog has featured all year – summer's on its way!

NOTE: my blogger email has been hacked, apologies for any emails received from me that are spam, DON'T CLICK THE LINK! I’ve created a new email address: cardboardcutoutblogger@hotmail.co.uk - only a slight change! Sorry for the inconvenience.

EYE EYE.

My personal fave ;)

Finally got round to developing my fisheye film, the old man that I usually go to has stopped developing film because there isn’t enough demand anymore – which I think is very sad. So I was forced to find a new place, Jessops, and other than forgetting to burn me a CD, they were pretty good because with every order you get a free, yes a FREE, roll of film! But I’m not too impressed with how they came out, I know now I have to go really close to what I’m capturing to get the full extent of that fisheye look! I was apprehensive about going too close because with most analog cameras they have set focuses, but now I’ve played about with it I’ll hopefully get better!

hope you guys are well,

NEW IN: CHARITY FINDS, RAYBANS, WOODEN CROSSES.

Thought I’d update you guys on a few new items in the wardrobe. I found this really cute sleeveless shirt with dainty embroidery and buttons when I went charity shopping yesterday. I’ve been looking for one for a while now, you can just throw it on in the summer with a pair of high-waisted shorts and you’re good to go! With christianity being all the craze and every shop stocking a range of cross jewelry, I thought this wooden version from Miss Selfridge was a fresh variation, so snapped it up.  And now we come to the sunglasses… the Ray-Ban 3447 sunglasses, which leave me praying every morning that the sun will shine so I can wear them! I love them so much, the round Lennon-esq shape made my heart melt and it’s nice to finally own a pair of proper sunnies!

Hope you’re enjoying Easter,

xx

IT'S EASTER HOLIDAYS finally!!! So happy! lazing around in the sunshine but feeling depressed that you've only woken up at 11 and wasted half the day... but hey, that's what holidays are for?! Just a few photos with my friend, Courtney, messing around with photoshop - she's been living with me as i can't stay alone in my house... i'm seventeen and still afraid of the dark, oh dear!

Hope you guys are having a great holiday,

STUDDED SORBET HAZE.

Sugar sweet pastels have been sprinkled across magazines, blogs and shops for a while now, so it's a prayer answered when these sickly sweetened vibes are mixed with 'edgier' grunge ensembles to create a refreshing new look.  Think studs, ripped shirts, band tees, Creepers, spikes, slashed shorts, blended with soft pastel hues: lilacs, peaches, lemons, faded turquoises. The two completely different styles 'pastels' and 'grunge' complement each other, balancing the fine line between 'the sickening girly-girl' and 'the rock band junkie' look (believe me, i've done both, balance is key). But when these two opposites fully combine - cue the white soled Creepers - i believe i'm in heaven. So embrace one of my favourite trends this spring/ summer and experience the studded sorbet haze
